A commemorative photobook for Macquarie Capital and the Australian Wildlife Conservancy

Each year, Macquarie Capital and the Australian Wildlife Conservancy bring together sport and conservation, and each year we're asked to capture it.

This is the third edition of the commemorative photobook we've produced for the event, and it's become one of our favourite things to make.

It's a book with two lives. It celebrates the padel tournament itself, and it tells the larger story of the AWC's work, the sanctuaries, the species, and the fragile native flora and fauna they protect. Woven through the photography are infographics and anecdotes that bring that work to life: how many species a single sanctuary safeguards, the seven ways it secures a future for wildlife, the small and fascinating details of Australia's natural world.

Designing it is a genuine pleasure. The subject gives us licence to be bold with colour, playful with data, and generous with the photography, and producing it three years running has let the design grow more confident with each edition.
