Every firm celebrates its investors. Far fewer think to celebrate the partners and suppliers who turn capital into something real. For InfraRed, an infrastructure investor whose promise is Creating Real Value, that was the idea: a reception to honour the people behind the work, staged with the same care InfraRed brings to its own.
The setting did much of the talking. Banqueting House, one of the Royal Palaces, welcomed 500 guests. The room is crowned by a Rubens, the largest of his works still in its original setting in Europe and unmoved for almost four centuries. For an infrastructure investor, there is a quiet rightness to raising a glass beneath something made to last. Candlelit undercrofts, designer canapés, live music and entertainers gave the evening warmth to match its grandeur.
The response made the decision for us. A one-off thank you became a fixture in InfraRed's calendar: an annual counterpoint to its investor event, and a night its partners now look forward to.
